The Beauty of Pamir

Name of the tour: The Beauty of Pamir
Duration: 8 days

Day 1: Kyrgyz border - Karakul Lake - Murgab
You will be met by your driver at the border, today you will be traveling to Mughrab. On your way there you will drive through the 3615 meter above sea level Taldik pass. During your tour you will see the Karakul lake which is situated at the altitude of  3815 meters above sea level. Overall during the road you will have many photo stops in order to get the best photos. In the end of the day, you will arrive to Murghab through the 4644 pass from which you will see the moon-like landscape of the "roof of the world". You will spend your night in the guesthouse.

Day 2: Murgab - Yashil Kul Lake - Bulunkul Lake
The following morning, you will travel to the Yashil Kul and Bulunkul lakes. They are considered to be the most beautiful lakes of Tajikistan. During the day you will have a chance to see some yaks, cow, sheep, you will also be able to interact with the locals. Make sure to charge your cameras fully and prepare for the beautiful day. In the evening, you will dine in the guesthouse before staying there for the night.

Day 3: Bulunkul - Yamg
In the morning, you will set out to Yamg. The rocky landscapes of the road that goes through the 4344 Khargush pass made it impossible for locals to settle there which is why the are is flourishing with wildlife. Tajikistan has many species of different wild animals and you will hear all about them during today's tour. In the evening, you will visit restaurant and then spend the night in the guesthouse.

Day 4: Yamg - Khorog 
In the morning, you will be driving along the Afgan border towards Khorog. The land that you will be seeing today has been called the "Roof of the World" foe ages. This is because the area of Pamir is situated at the different altitudes of 3500-4200 meters above sea level. People of different ethnicity live in the gorges of Pamir. They all speak different languages and have different culture, some of the nations date back to the middle ages. Night in a geusthoude in Khorog.

Day 5: Khorog - Kalai Khum 
The following morning, you will travel to Kalai Khum village. The village is a very remote and small one. There is only one road there. During the day, you will learn a lot about the culture, the people, the customs and just about the way that the people live in Pamir. In the evening, you will spend your night in the guesthouse. You will drive by the river which serves as the natural border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan. Night is in Kalai Khum village.

Day 6: Kalai Khum - Norak - Dushanbe
The next morning, you will travel to Dushanbe. The road that you will see has been taken by some great explorers. For example Marco Polo on his travel, took the same road and was very amazed by the beauty of the views. You will be driving along the river Pyanj which also serves as the natural border between Tajikistand and Afghanistan. Before arriving to the capital of Tajikistan, you will stop by the Norak water reservoir which is commonly called the Tajik Sea. You will then spend your night in the hotel.

Day 7: Dushanbe
During the seventh day of your travles you will have a city tour dedicated to the discovery of the capital. Tajikistan is famous for the fact that it has the biggest flag in the world. 165 meter high pole holds a flag which is 30 meters wide and 60 meters long. The city is also full of various museums, statues, squares and other significant and important locations. You will then spend your night in the hotel.

Day 8: Flight
The following morning, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight.
