Kyrgyzstan biking: Tour 4

Destination: Kyrgyzstan

Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You will be collected from the International Airport of Manas by your guide and accompanied to the capital of Kyrgyz Republic - Bishkek City. Drive from the Airport takes half an hour. You will start the day with a nice breakfast. You will be accommodated in the hotel*** that is located in the calm area of the city. After that you will have a rest. Today you will have an excursion to Ala-Archa Natural Park, which is situated on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), 45 km. from Bishkek, in the Gorge of Ala-Archa. To observe this famous gorge you will ascend on the top of the mountain. Drive back to Bishkek City. Your dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.  

Day 2: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley - Kayindi village
Breakfast is in the hotel. Transfer is (200 km) from Bishkek to Chon Kemin valley by car. On our way, we will visit the Burana Tower (minaret from the 11th century) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). The first part of the road is along the Kyrgyz range. It has many wonderful gorges that create a center of attention for lots of people. We will have wonderful views of snowy peaks from the road.  After visiting Burana Complex we will go to the Kayindi Village. After that we will ride for about 50 km. Night is near the Keuk-Ayrik river (2290 alt.) in tents.  

Day 3: Ride to Keuk-Ayrik Pass 3889m - Chon Sary Oi Village - transfer to Tamchi Village
Today we ride in direction of Issyk Kul Lake, via Keuk Ayrik pass. Our car doesn't drive with us. Lunch is on Keuk Ayrik Pass. Then, down. Our driver will meet us in the Sary Oi village. Transfer to Tamchi village. Tamch is situated on the northern shore of the Issyk Kul Lake. This lake is the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608m. above sea level). The Lake is also called "the pearl of Central Asia". Thanks to the salty water, Lake Issyk Kul possesses curative qualities. The night is in the guesthouse.  

Day 4: Transfer Tamchi - Kochkor - Sarybulak
Breakfast. Today we start our trip by car via Orto Tokoi water reservoir to Kochkor Village. In Kochkor village you will visit the shop of the Kyrgyz Handicrafts. There you will also meet a family that will show you how national felt carpets are produced. You even could participate in this felt show and create your own carpet. Afterwards is cycling to Sary Bulak village (2310 m. alt., 38 km) by the asphalt road. Transfer on dirt road to confluence of Kara-Kudjur and Biulioomiu Rivers (7 km, 2390m. alt.) by bike. This night we will spend in tents. 

Day 5: Ride by bike to the foot of Jalpak pass (58 km, 3345 m)
This day we are going to ride to the amazing place that will take you away. It is the foot of Jalpak Pass. This place is quite far from the civilization and you can enjoy its beauty to the full. Along the whole way you will see lots of remarkable views of the mountains. Cycling is in satisfactory condition of moderate difficulty, but on the dirt road. You will be astonished by the diversity of mountains views on the way. Landscape in the gorge is like in tundra. Night is in the tent camp. 

Day 6: Ride to the Jalpak pass (3345m. alt.) - Bishkek
This morning we cycle to Jalpak Pass. Afterwards we descend down (25 km) to the Valley of Korumdu, next to the region of Kara Saz till Dzhylangach river (the confluence of  Dzhylangach and Balgart Rivers forms the River of Kichi-Naryn). We will drive after lunch to Bishkek. Through the views of untouched nature you will be carried away by the amazing sceneries. On arrival in Bishkek you will have free time to go for shopping and to walk. You will have a dinner in a restaurant in the evening. This night you will spend in the hotel***. 

Day 7: Bishkek
This morning yuo will have a city tour. The tour includes the visiting of many interesting places, such as: Ala-Too Central Square, the History Museum, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Art Gallery, Pobeda Square (Victory Square), National Philharmonic.  Afterwards we will visit famous oriental bazaar of Osh. You will walk there and bargain for different goods. A farewell dinner will be served at 7 o'clock in the evening. Overnight stay is in the hotel***. 

Day 8: Transfer to the airport
In your hotel, your guide will meet you at the pick up time arranged previously according to your flight details and accompany you to the Airport of Manas.
